Application Process: Trainees are required to submit a completed Down Under School of Yoga Teacher Training application and a $600 non-refundable deposit. Upon acceptance, trainees will be expected to pay the remaining balance or submit a credit card for payment plan prior to the start of training.

Admission Criteria: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have been practicing yoga for at least 6 months.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: A completed application and $600 deposit are required to secure space in the training.  The balance of tuition is either $2400 (by the designated Earliest Bird deadline), $2500 (by the designated Early Bird deadline, or $2600 after these deadlines have passed. This balance may be paid in full before the program begins or by a payment plan during the program. If students are not accepted into the program for any reason, the $600 deposit will be refunded. No refunds will be made once the program begins, and payment plans must be paid in full even if a student withdraws from the program.

Grievance Policy: If a trainee has a grievance and believes that her/his rights have been violated, a written complaint must be submitted to the studio Director, who has one week to determine next steps.   Down Under School of Yoga reserves the right to ask any student to leave the program if their behavior is inappropriate or unethical. Under such circumstances, tuition will not be refunded.

Trainee Expectations and Training Completion Requirements:  In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, trainees must attend all of the weekend sessions (with make-ups allowed as described below) and pay tuition in full.  In addition, students must demonstrate an understanding of the program content in a written final exam and the final practicum teaching demonstration, as well as maintain a consistent yoga asana practice under the supervision of the Down Under faculty.  (At a minimum students must attend 20 classes with the program’s lead faculty.) Attendance and payment of tuition alone do not guarantee students will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Attendance/Makeup Policy:  Trainees are allowed to miss up to 3 out of 10 weekends but will need to make up those missed days. For every full day missed, the student may take a 1 hour private make-up session to be scheduled with the Teacher Training Manager. The cost of each 1 hour make-up session (for a 7 hour day) is $150, or $75 if the make-up is shared with another student. Students cannot receive a Certificate of Completion if they miss more than 40 hours of the training.
