Developed by Joseph Pilates to help injured soldiers, returning from the first World War, maintain their strength during the rehabilitation process. Pilates, believing the core to be the "powerhouse" of the body, created a system that radiates from your center to your limbs. Over the years this system has evolved, focusing on the core muscles of the low back, abdomen and hips.

These classes invite you to move with precision, intelligence and efficiency, rather than demanding your body to perform innumerable repetitions of one exercise.
