I love teaching!
My practice brings me joyful moments of discovery, and from there I create sequences to share those discoveries with my students. In the course of teaching, I gain even more insight, and THAT I reinvest back into my practice. It is a wonderful cycle!
My classes are thoughtfully-sequenced and challenging, but also playful and inclusive as I really believe yoga is for everybody.
I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT), Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and a graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco’s 2-year Advanced Studies/Teacher Training program.
I am so grateful to the many wonderful members of the U.S. Iyengar community who have guided me over the last 18 years and still influence my voice as a teacher. They include Rebecca and Dean Lerner in Pennsylvania and the wonderful faculty at IYISF including Elise Browning Miller and Jito Yumibe. Now in New England, Patricia Walden, Peentz Dubble, Jarvis Chen and Roni Brissette help me deepen my sadhana so that I can bring my very best self to my students. I also travel to India bi-annually for month-long studies with the Iyengar family.
Asceticism is NOT to hold at any cost a pose that is painful, but to do this very pose with as much intensity of intelligence and love as possible.—B.K.S. Iyengar
