Rosie Richardson, a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and a graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco, has studied for many years with senior Iyengar teachers in and out of the Bay area as well as with the Iyengar family in India. Her classes are thoughtfully sequenced, challenging, but playful and inclusive as she truly believes yoga is for every body. She has conducted workshops on restorative yoga and yoga for cyclists, and has specialized training in back care issues like scoliosis.
Rosie is eternally grateful to Elise Browning Miller, Manouso Manos and Jito Yumibe in the Bay Area for having guided her practice and teaching journey to this point, and currently studies with Patricia Walden and Peentz Dubble in the Boston area. When not on the mat, she’s on the hiking trail or her road bike, walking her dogs or travelling the globe with her family.
Asceticism is NOT to hold at any cost a pose that is painful, but to do this very pose with as much intensity of intelligence and love as possible.—B.K.S. Iyengar
