Nina Reis

After nearly two decades of competitive athletics, several surgeries, and endless aches and pains, Nina knew it was time to take a healing and therapeutic approach to her body and spirit.

Nina started practicing yoga in 2002 and completed her first teacher training in 2004. She has over 500 hours of training which spans across various world renowned teachers and areas of study such as: Shiva Rea (asana), Sudha Carolyn Lundeen (meditation and restorative), Bo Forbes (neuroscience), and Tiffany Cruikshank (kinesiology). Infusing various elements from these teachings into her own style, Nina's approach is one that uniquely meets people where they are. For some students, that means relaxing more — and for others, working stronger. And for many others…just getting to class in the first place! In any regard, all are welcome to her classes. Nina teaches a range of styles including vinyasa flow, restorative, slow flow, prenatal yoga, and meditation.

Besides studying yoga, Nina has a B.A. in interior design from Michigan State University. Her past life included a stint at a top international architecture firm in Atlanta which eventually led to a role as the sole proprietor of In Unison Interiors. She was fortunate to see many projects come to completion including a high-end Boston restaurant, a boutique German toy store, and a gut renovation of a 150-year-old home. 

In her spare time, Nina is a passionate cook, whipping up gourmet delights for her husband and two toddlers. She is a lover of college sports (go Spartans!), cooking, sewing, graphic design, wellness, gardening, animals, and all things creative.
