As a native Vermonter, movement and nature have always been a huge part of Holly's life. She was immediately drawn to the practice of yoga during college because of the way in which it inspired action for her on and off the mat, and how it provided a sense of balance during a time of extremes. She first started practicing yoga regularly while studying abroad in Florence and has vivid memories of walking around Europe with incredibly sore muscles. She felt that her body had been awakened from a deep sleep and re-woven together so that everyday movements felt more easeful and more integrated.
Holly graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with an undergraduate business degree in 2015. While living and working in hospitality throughout the greater NYC area, Holly completed her 200 Hour RYT training at Yoga Mechanics in Montclair, NJ with her teachers Omni Kitts Ferrara and Donna Scro Samori.
Holly is now thrilled to have the opportunity to combine her background in business with her passion for yoga as a Marketing Manager at Down Under. As a yoga teacher, Holly wants to educate and empower her students through action that focuses on both strength and flexibility, with a foundation in anatomy and biomechanics. Each class, Holly offers a piece of contemplative thought because she believes in the power of thought and movement blended together.
When not working, you can probably find Holly biking, skiing, or hiking to see the world from a raw, wilderness perspective.
