Andrew is part of both Down Under’s Ashtanga School and Movement School where he teaches Mysore style practice and Movement in Brookline.
Andrew first learned the Ashtanga practice at Yogaview in Chicago, IL. Soon thereafter, he began making trips to Encinitas, CA to study and train under Ashtanga Yoga Certified teacher Tim Miller. Tim taught him how to approach the practice with compassion, light heartedness, and an open mind.
Andrew also studied daily with Level 2 Authorized Kate O’Donnell for many years. He learned asana as well as asana adjustments from Kate; but the most important thing he learned was the art of managing and sustaining energy for which he is forever grateful.
Lately, Andrew has been studying posture, movement, and breath with Simon Borg Olivier. Andrew’s Movement class is influenced by his teachings.
Andrew’s teaching promotes longevity through proper technique, calm breathing, and positive thinking.
