Emily began studying yoga in 2015 while she was a dance student at the Boston Conservatory. She deepened her practice as a form of rehabilitation after tearing multiple ligaments in her shoulder. Her focused commitment to building strength and quieting frustration that emerged as a result of this time of healing inspired her to complete her 200-hour training in 2016. This pivotal experience brought her love of teaching to the surface and resulted in a mission to help her students harness the same inner strength and resilience that she, herself, didn’t realize she possessed until immersing herself in this practice. Emily’s classes are rooted in her knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology. Driven by a desire to help students move beyond their own perceived limitations, her class balances challenge with support in a calm, uplifting class environment.
