Billy Smith has completed Baptiste Institute’s Level One and Two trainings as well as the Art of Assisting. He is in progress towards another 300 hours of training with Claire Este-McDonald and Gregor Singleton. Billy’s yoga practice began at a young age under the guidance of his mother, who is also a yoga teacher.
In 2008, Billy took his first Baptiste Yoga class at Cleveland Yoga and immediately fell in love with the teachings. The practice challenged him in new ways, and he knew that he had found something that would be ultimately life-changing. While studying at Northeastern University, Billy began practicing and volunteering at the Brookline studio, where the powerful Baptiste community became a second family to him. Now in medical school, he has found that the Baptiste practice and community continues to support him on and off his mat.
Billy’s intention is to encourage his students to see infinite possibilities in themselves while having fun.
