As a teacher you hold the space of Yoga which is the space of fearlessness. Freedom from fear of death, fear of life, fear of loss, fear of the other, fear of looking like a fool. Only with freedom from fear can there be love, joy and ease.
Yoga, like other arts, helps us see more clearly. It is through the arts, including the art of yoga, that we develop the capacity to witness difficult things that otherwise are repressed and hidden away.
In uncertain times a yoga practice can be a sanctuary, a place for retreat, and I encourage students to find the time for these moments of respite.
