Consistent work is hard (even when it involves bolsters and blankets!) but from it grows a complete and utter love of the practice, and the ability to start noticing that the body and mind respond to that effort and that individual self-attention.
Yoga, like other arts, helps us see more clearly. It is through the arts, including the art of yoga, that we develop the capacity to witness difficult things that otherwise are repressed and hidden away.
In uncertain times a yoga practice can be a sanctuary, a place for retreat, and I encourage students to find the time for these moments of respite.
