There are 2 families of backbends:
The first family is urdhva mukha svanasana (upward facing dog), ustrasana (camel), and dhanurasana (bow).
The second family begins with urdhva dhanurasana (upward facing bow or wheel).
This workshop is for those who have a regular practice of urdhva dhanurasana and are ready to move on. Urdhva dhanurasana is the foundation for the next two backbends: viparita dandasana and kapotasana (pigeon pose). You will learn a series of actions and movements to help you progress toward your next stage.
While all experience levels are welcome, this workshop is not appropriate for students with shoulder injuries.
