Level
I
Level I classes teach the basic fundamentals of yoga,
helping students to develop proper posture and alignment, mobility
of the joints, core strength, deep flexibility, awareness of body
and breath and deep relaxation. This class has a warm, inclusive atmosphere
and is ideal for beginners and those with some yoga experience and
quickly reveals why yoga is now a doctor's first prescription for
back and neck pain, muscle tension, cardiac and other issues.
|
Level
II
This class introduces the full diversity
of yoga asana – standing poses, inversions, twists, abdominal work,
backbends and forward bends – and is intended for those who are ready
to learn more! Level II classes build strength in standing poses,
introduce key points of inversions and teach inspiring backbends,
forward bends and twists. Combining dynamic sequences and attention
to alignment, this class builds knowledge, strength, fluidity, alignment,
and confidence in all yoga poses. Level II is open to those with yoga
experience, good core strength and not recommended for those with
significant back/neck issues. |
Level
III
This class is for students with an established
yoga practice and assumes competence in headstand and shoulderstand.
The class builds tremendous technique, strength and agility, while
cultivating a deep understanding and interest in the body. Ideal for
those who want to deepen their experience of yoga asanas, the class
combines vigorous sequencing with deep refinement of individual poses.
Level III syllabis requires significant core strength, fluency in
all families of yoga poses, confidence in inversions and dynamic flow
sequences as well as awareness of one’s own strengths and weakness.
Because we focus on the more difficult poses and inversions, this
class is intended for those who want to challenge themselves! Permission
of instructor required. |
