Our yoga classes for children and teens cultivate invaluable life skills while strengthening and stretching young bodies through joyful movement. Classes give kids and teens the space and opportunity to explore awareness, mindfulness and the ability to self-soothe when things get rocky. The emphasis is on having fun, moving well, and settling into the body and breath. Partner and group yoga help to teach important skills of connection and cooperation. Nurturing rest, relaxation and meditation exercises to help kids feel calm, confident and secure. Yoga classes also provide a safe haven during times of stress and change where kids and teens can tune into their inner strength and discover what calm feels like. We believe that children are capable of receiving the benefits of yoga in a very profound way.
Winter Series runs from January - March
Spring Series runs from April - June
Fall Series runs from September - December
All classes take place in the Newton studio.
Classes are banded by age to ensure content is appropriate
and to foster friendships and community among students.
