Roxanne is her name, but she goes by Roxie! Roxie is a Boston transplant originally from the high deserts of New Mexico. She first tried this thing called “yoga” on a whim as a college freshman. Quickly, her new hobby turned into habit, and she soon found herself studying yoga and practicing everyday. She came to love yoga for it’s oppositional experiences of fluidity and stillness, and for the endless lessons in transformation one can draw from regular practice. She is thrilled and humbled by the opportunity to guide others in yoga. Roxie received her 200hr vinyasa teacher certification with Ame Wren, and later competed her 300hr certification with Natasha Rizopoulos. Forever thankful for these two ladies who trained her, Roxie strives to honor all her the teachers in her own teaching. When not instructing or assisting yoga classes, Roxie is typically outdoors, riding bicycles, a vintage moped, or walking her two big dogs.
