After many years of weightlifting, Adam was left with a body that was both injured and stiff. A friend mentioned yoga and later led him through his first vinyasa flow. Adam’s perspective on self care was flipped upside-down. Yoga became a hobby that he would indulge on the weekends and in his spare time to start to open and heal his body. Slowly, he began to expand his knowledge by reading books and articles and watching youtube videos. After 6 months of practice, the weightlifting had completely stopped and this benign hobby turned into a dedicated practice. He found himself rushing home from work to practice and two years after his first flow, Adam was on a plane bound for South America. His plan was to dedicate these months to studying his two favorite things; yoga and regenerative agriculture. Adam completed his 200-hour certification while in Cali, Colombia with the Inbound School of Yoga. Upon returning home Adam immediately began teaching, but one year later, he knew he had barely scratched the surface. He decided to continue his yoga education in January of 2016 under the tutelage of Natasha Rizopoulos and the faculty at Down Under School of Yoga. He is constantly humbled by the depth of knowledge of his teachers, as well as their ability to impart their knowledge in such a clear and concise manner. His goal is to emulate these incredible teachers so his students can challenge themselves in the safest way possible. In the studio you can expect a fluid class with a heavy emphasis on proper alignment. Outside the studio you can find Adam rock-climbing, longboarding, gardening, working with his beehive or tending to the chickens at his current residence.
